JFLL SECONDARY

JFLL Secondary offers an ideal pathway to learners who want to quickly get their qualifications in Maths and English up to the Grade 11 level. Ideal for students who were unable to challenge CSEC subjects for many reasons such as dropping out of high school

Learners can register by completing the form here and taking it into any JFLL Parish Office. Forms are also available at the Parish Office.  If you need more information please complete the inquiry form at the end of the page.

Class times
Classes are available Monday to Friday during each term in 3 shifts per day.

Terms start in September, January and May
Class shifts start 8:00 am, 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm

Course Duration

Full time 15 months

1. 5 hours  per day, four days for the week, (20 hours)
2. Two hours for Math
3. Two hours for English
4. One hour for other programmes (Life skills, Information Technology and other appropriate programme)
5. Or any combination suitable for the centre.

Part time - over 2 years.

1. Three hours  per day, four days for the week, (12 hours)
2. One and half hours for Math
3. One and half hours for English
4. Or any combination suitable for the centre

Books
Books for the core material are covered in the cost of the programme but learners are encouraged to purchase their own books to enhance their learning

1. Option 1
1. Jamaica Secondary Certification
2. Secondary School Certification
3. Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence
4. Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate.

Option 2

1. NCTVET (HISEP)- mock examination
1. Practice test- April/ August
2. Final Assessment   July/ November
2. CSEC – final assessment
1. May/ June or January

Costs
The Cost for JFLL Secondary tuition

1. Full Time - $7,500 per term for all subjects
2. Part Time - $3,500 per term per subject
